Near The 79th Pennsylvania Position (Day 1) - Chickamauga Georgia

This location is very deep in a wooded area of the battlefield.  Our guide pointed out the surroundings as we approached the area held by Starkweather's brigade that included the 79th Pennsylvania.  This panoramic photo was take the next morning to show the visibility and terrain that these troops probably encountered in 1863.
